History of Alpha Gamma Delta
Alpha Gamma Delta was officially founded on May 30, 1904 at Syracuse University. The 11 Founders were progressive women who selflessly contributed to the growth of the foundation and the fraternity. Since that time, 181 collegiate chapters have been installed across North America and over 145,000 women have become sisters of Alpha Gamma Delta. The Theta Mu Chapter was founded at UNCW in 1991. Today, Alpha Gamma Delta continues to promote the ideals of academic excellence, philanthropic giving, ongoing leadership, and personal development.
